I have been in horrible pain ever since day one after my bunionectomy. I thought it was the screw that was put in but it was removed and still the pain persisted. Then we did a round of cortisone shots..nothing helped...now it seems orthotics is recommended. An MRI showed maybe something with morten's but I am not sure what to do AND my biggest concern is...did the bunionectomy cause the morten's due to something that happend during that surgery???? hellllllp! the pain is a 10!

I am writing for my wife. She has had Plantar Fasciitis like pain for 1 1/2 year (text book Sx : pain with first steps of morning, pain after standing for long time). We have tried almost every therapy without any results (Orthotics, Night Splits, PT, Stretches, Ultra Sound, Celebrex, Steroid injections, Lyrica). Today we got the results of her MRI and it states that her Plantar is normal. Our Podiatrist is absolutely stumped and referred us to another Podiatrist. What do you think our next step should be?

I was diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma in December. My doctor gave me cortisone shots in both feet, and sent a letter to my insurace co. for orthotics. The shots worked great, and my ins. co approved the orthotics. We got all of that squared away, and the casts made for the orthotics and my left foot started killing me.

Not all neuromas will give symptoms "exactly" as they appear in the literature. Having said that, has your doctor tried any other forms of treatment, particularly injections of either cortisone or denatured alcohol?
